Take the Sopranos and add Narcos then sprinkle with a tiny bit of the Godfather along with a handful of Topboy and you get Gomorrah – on sky 4 seasons absolutely fantastic – totally unknown Italian actors, well they will be unknown to you, not glitz and glamour of Sopranos or Godfather but certainly the violence – the rawness of Narcos and Topboy – set in I guess you would call downtown Naples (not the best advert for the Naples as a tourist attraction – really not) – you picture Italy with beautiful countryside, sunshine, amazing food and wonderful architecture – this is not that, in a sort of “this is England” style “this is Italy” based on the Mafia but more like Topboy then Goodfellers, Subtitles throughout so you need to concentrate and please don’t be tempted to dub, not sure you can anyway.
